Tethering iPhone 3.0 to connect to internet on the Mac (via USB cable)
So now that OS 3.0 is publicly released, I can post some pictures of tethering and how it works.

PART A – On the iPhone Enable tethering on your iPhone (running os 3.0)
1. Go to Settings on your iPhone. tap on GENERAL button

2.Under General, tap on NETWORK button

3. tap on INTERNET TETHERING

4.Turn it ON

5.Select BLUETOOTH or USB. I am using the USB as the phone gets charged too while you are using it.

PART B (using USB cable)
Just connect the iPhone to your Mac via the USB cable.

And you should be able to use the internet.

oh :S…..i dont have the Tethering option mentioned in step 3, am using iPhone 3G, OS 3.0….??? anyone know wats wrong…plz email me at amer_abulburghul@hotmail.com…thanks
I don’t have a tethering option either
I tried to tethering but there was a lot of options & it told to prepare ad hoc connection & wifi & it was so borring. according to u which software of tethering should be downloaded & from where
Thanks Pretam Rai, I had used iTune software and updated to the the 3.0 version… and found the tethering option available and have successfully updated it… Your simple guide is really useful for iPhone users to surf the net via the 3G network.. thanks
Bro, have activated the 3.0 version on my iPhone but still unabel to see the Tethering option… could you advise me further via email….

I have yet to find the tethering settings on my Iphone……can’t wait to implement this though.
