Cambodia e-visa
UPDATE: August 2008, The e-visa page is down. Check this site for the latest news.
Did you know you can apply for Cambodian visa online. I just applied for mine. All you need is a scanned passport photo, 25 USD visa fee payment by Paypal or Credit Card. Why other countries don’t have some thing like this?

Update: I actually got the visa the very next day. Nice.

You can also apply for a travel visa to Australia online too. Cheaper than applying to Cambodia

http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh/ This is the link for the E-Visa. I just returned from Poipet 2 days ago. May 17, 2008. I took the bus from Mo Chit 200 baht and the tuk tuk option for 80 baht. (Next time, I will take the buses that leave from BKK for the gamblers and the evisa option, be careful the evisa is only good at some points of entry and exit) The tuk tuk driver took me to the Cambodian Consulate about 4-7 blocks short of the border crossing. Upon arrival I was the only one in line. The nice gentleman filled out all my forms and I tipped him 100 baht. I also tipped the tuk tuk driver 100 baht for the hook up. All in all, I waited about 10 mins or so with no hassles by doing my visa on the Thai side. I also had my Thai GF with me which helps a lot. Total 1000 baht for the visa and another 280 baht for tips and tuk tuk. I waited about 10 mins to get Thai exit stamp. Then you will walk about 400 yards to the Cambodian arrival stamp. Ignore everyone and keep walking straight you will see the arrival station just part the Diamond Casino. Once stamped in I walked to the other side of the street and stamped out of Cambodia. I stamped in and out in about 10 mins. I went gambling for about 4 hours and took the Thai bus back to Lumpini Park in BKK for 200 baht/100 baht for Thais. No Farang can ride without a Thai GF for sure. That is my experience, no hassles really. Free food at most of the good Casinos just ask. I paid extra because I don’t like to wait in line and I like real service. Take care and enjoy your next destination!

Heard that the e-visa has some serious problems.
Rather pay on-arrival to be safe.
