14 Sep 07 WiFi CaFes and Why its a Joy to be in Saigon

WiFi Cafe
Fanny Ice-Scream, 29-31 ton that hiep street, district 1, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)
Its always nice to be in Saigon, great street food aside wi-fi places are so easy to find. Almost every budget and mid-range accommodation offers free wi-fi.

Ice Coffee and Wi-Fi
Vietnamese Ice Coffee and free wi-fi, another cafe near the Ben Thanh Market.

The nice thing about Vietnamese cafe is that they don’t mind if you use the power to charge your computer.

Buying Tickets
Next stop Bangkok.

I see you have a MacBook Pro now. :) And is that an iPhone?

I need to visit Saigon. Vietnam and Laos are both long due.

Fanny Ice Cream is nice. Saigon has many great wifi cafes, my favorite being Highlands Coffee at Saigon Centre.

How long you in Saigon for?

  3. |

Hi Kevin, now in Singapore. Will message you when I am there next. Jace, I too miss Lao.

Wow! Saigon looks amazing…wish I could have gone there while in Cambodia.

Are you in Bangkok yet? How are things there?

I greatly enjoyed your travel photos and your simple words. You said so much with so little. Soon, I and my wife and children are moving to Xian, China. One who loves smiles and bears such stories as you do would be a welcome guest. The world is full of possibilities… Peace and smiles to you on your journey.

great blog!i’m planning on bring my laptop and was wondering doesn’t vietnam have a different voltage than the States?if charging my laptop, should a buy a voltage converter?

HI AJ, Most newer laptops these days have power adapters that can work on both the US and Asian voltages. Just look for some text on your power adapter that says “100 to 240 Volts” .
You might have to buy a power adapter as the plugs in Vietnam are different. YOu can buy these at the airpors.
