I missed the water festival this year but hope to be back in Thailand sometimes soon. Meanwhile here is a very good podcast if you want to learn basic Thai language.

    I missed the Songkran festival too, although I stay in Thailand. No matter what! You can come to join next year. You choosen good choice, Chiang Mai is a good place to join, and Kao-Sarn Rd in Bkk would be a good one too.

    This year was my first in Thailand and Chiang Mai during Songkran.
    I think it is ok to celebrate in the city, people come and they know what to expect but cannot understand those stupid Songkran revellers who throw water at motorbikes all over the town.     We went out on our motorbike during songkran and our daughter was reallt frightened. People don’t care who they sioke and what spped your doing when the throw the water.
