“China’s new creative age” and other 50 year old books

Whenever I want to read some old books on China I go to India. More specifically this one bookshop in Bangalore on one of the smaller lanes off MG Road. Here are some interesting books I found in this bookshop.

Old books galore. Several rare books to be had here for bargain price.

This one talks about how just the sheer population of China will usher in a great creative age. This book is from the 1950s.

A book from the early 70s. The author went to China to see first hand the progresses. Notice the computer next to Mao.

A travelogue on Tibet from 1929.

The book provides good insights on things Tibetan

The Potala Palace then.

    Hi Preetam!
The bookshop you are referring to is Premier next to night watchman??!!

    Kaizer.

No it was not premier. Can’t remember the name. It is actually off a small lane on Brigade road. A lane that has a few internet shops. A two-floor building. The owner hands you the key to the upstairs and lets you take your own time. I like that shop.
