Singapore Bloggercon?
I have been downloading the Bloggercon3 podcasts from the IT Conversations web.
The Shanghai guys organised a bloggercon earlier this year. We have been seeing some interesting writing in Singapore blogs too. Time to organise a Singapore bloggercon?
Any ideas?

weblog-ed.com: The Declining Influence of Homepages
Just this afternoon we were wondering if we should continue teaching Dreamweaver when Blogs (or Wikis) offer an easier way to set up web presence.
Dreamweaver is a great tool but it takes a while (and a host server etc.) before you can have your stuff online. We do a couple of Dreamweaver workshops per semester but the last couple of months we have been doing more sessions on Blogs, RSS feeds and Wikis.

When Western Media Bias Hits Home
Chinese journalist Frank Qi talks about
Western Media Bias.
Frank Qi cites the Spy-plane and the bombing of Chinese embassy in Belgrade by the USAF.
While I do agree with the author that in both these cases the western media was unfair but I also feel that it was it was a foolish decision to have your embassy working while everything around was getting bombed. Again, it was brainless to try to duel with a plane that is much bigger than you (and in international waters). If anyone needs to be blamed it is the commander of the squad who ordered the chase.
And how about the Chinese media that is only too happy to blast the Japanese whenever they get the chance, I wonder if any one dares to print that Japan was the no 1 aid donor to China or it was one of the first countries to normalize trade relations with China after the communist takeover.
