Mr. Shin, an old friend, invited me to the museum. Two of his installations were on show. This one is an interactive piece. The glass panels have posters of Shanghai properties. When you pull one out, the video of the property plays on the TV screen. We tried to crash the system by pulling two, three and four panels at the same time but Mr. Shin’s coding was watertight.

An interactive piece by this group. They get people in the audience to participate. It was simple stuff but people enjoyed it.

This installation is made of discarded everyday things.

This piece remembered the 6000 odd people who died in the communist troubles in the 60s Malaya. The artists bought thousands of GI Joe action figures and dipped them in red paint. The “red soldiers” were displayed on the wall and you could buy one if you wanted.
