11 Aug 04 Christmas beatings in Chengdu, West China

Christmas eve in Chengdu. People gather on the main street with these inflatable clubs and beat each other up.


I wonder why the clubs have the “stars and stripes” design.

You don’t mind the beating. They beat you and then they smile.

   i like the fact that the clubs have this American flag pattern on them.. how aptly it represents how the US is beating everyone up… hahah.. :p

   Why the heck do they do that? They never use to do that when I there. But then that was 12 years ago.
