Brainstorming

At my favorite Korean pub with my favorite beer (and lots of mobile devices) trying to figure out a big time scam idea to make lots of $$$$$.
Furl (and Spurl) - they beat Google to this cool idea
If you spend a lot of time researching, you will end up making a lot of book marks. Sometimes when you go back to site, you find that the pages have moved or disappeared (in case of a paid site).
There is a new web service called Furl that solves this problem. Go to their home page and sign up for the service. Furl can be downloaded as a toolbar. if you already have yahoo, amazon and google toolbars like me, you may want to implement furl as a “favorite link”. Very easy to do this with the instructions on the site.

You like some web page, just click on the Furl button (or link).

My iPod review from 2002
Ah, the new iPod is out. I bought the first generation iPod early in 2002. This is a review from those days. I continue to use the iPod, wonder whatever happened to Diane.

A song for every girl
Ever met a girl and remembered a song with her name. It happened to me recently. The other day, I met a Diane. I had “Oh Diane” (by Fleetwood Mac) on my iPod and I played it to her. She had never heard that song and she was amused.
My first MP3 player was a Creative Nomad. The bug with Nomad was the memory and transfer speed. Over USB, one has to wait for several minutes to transfer a song. 64 MB could hold about 10 songs. And when 10 songs is the max. you can hold, you keep playing them again and again. Few days later you end up not wanting to listen to those songs ever again.
Next, I used my iPaq to play music. On the PDA, its your battery that drains real fast while playing music.
As usual, it was Apple that came up with the most elegant solution - The stylish iPod with 5 GB memory (about 1000 songs), 10 hours of battery life and super fast firewire connection.
With the iPod you have a song for every occasion and a song for every girl.
