The mighty Rejang River

The mighty and muddy Rejang river, winds its way through the Borneo jungles and empties into the South China sea. Here the river seen through a pagoda on one of it’s banks in Sibu.

Lovely Girls
Chiang Mai is known for its festivals. It was nearing the Thai New Year – Songkran (or water festival). To celebrate the festival the city had organised an exhibition. They had local students dressed in costumes from the surrounding countries.

The Borderlands

A Shan girl ponders.
In the Thai border town of Mae Aw, people from the nearby Burmese Shan province drop by to shop. They brave a rough trek of couple of hours - over the mountains - hiding from the Burmese army. Once here, they buy, pack their merchandise, have lunch and rest a little. Then loading the packs on their back they march off again.
Cool as a cat
Saw this little catter sleeping in a wat in Mae Hong Son. While it gets hot outside, it is really cool inside here.
