One of the earliest scam I ran was a newspaper in Mysore. It was called “White Noise”. We even got a newsprint license. My partner in that scam was Sunil. He was the marketing guy; his job was to look for ads. Soon he fired everyone - editor included and started doing everything by himself - he would even make up his own news if there was no news.
Recently, I met Sunil again after. Its been five years since I last saw him. Sunil and his friend Venu are running a “mobile technology” company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I went to meet them and saw some of the cool things they are working on. They have couple of young developers and they are really keen on what they are developing. Good energy. One thing I like about their company is that all their developers are local Malaysians. I guess if more Indian IT companies do this, there won’t be so much resentment against outsourcing.
At night we drove up to Thailand and all along the long drive we bored Sunil’s friend Venu with the stories of pranks we played when we used to live in Mysore.

One good thing working for this company is that you get to play with the coolest phones. Here Sunil with Nokia N Gage

Some more cool phones
