Yangon Barcamp 2010
Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 9:04PM Yes, big thanks to the folks in Yangon. Had a great time at the Barcamp Yangon 2010, held on 23rd and 24th January at the Myanmar info-tech campus in Yangon.

The participants were very active posting topics on networking, software development and Myanmar language computing

A talk on OpenOffice

Most sessions ran packed. Several thousand survey forms were returned over the two days.

It was nice to see so many confident presenters talking about a wide variety of tech topics. Here is an young Myanmar blogger who blogs both in English and local language

And the local organisers and the volunteers did a great job keeping the event running smoothly.

The closing session

And the dinners were full of tech talk too

Chit with Norbert and Robert - We had participants from half a dozen countries
Shwedagon pagoda, the icon of Yangoon glows in the dark. Seen from our dinner venue.
See you all in Mandalay soon.
