Happy Independence day India

I was helping some friends plan a trip to India. With flickr, it is nice to be able to show them the pics of the places to help them decide on their itinerary. Just then I realized that tomorrow is the Indian independence day. Here are some pictures from the four corners of India - Ladakh, the Tibetan area in the north, temples in Gujarat in the west, a beach on the Andaman & Nicobar islands in the south and mountains in Arunachal Pradesh in the east.

Preetam,

Happy Independence day. It's nice that you took the time to blog this eventful day. Very often, a lot of us Indians tend to forget/under-value it...

Preetam.

Great post. I love the pics, and more so the national anthem. Being here in NYC, its very rare to hear the anthem, and thus seeing it as an audioblog on your site made my day.

I've linked your post to my independance day post http://www.wadias.in/site/arzan/blog/archives/2005/08/happy_independa.html" rel="nofollow">here

Thanks.
