I bought some old magazines from streetside bookshops in Chengdu. Found these pictures.

Yes, Ashwin, I read that book. It is interesting. I think India has a very evil visa policy when it comes to China. It is very hard for a Chinese citizen to get an Indian visa. It will good to read stories of some non-academic's views on India.

I have seem some educations broadcasts but according to the people I know, hardly anyone watches those, unless of course it is an English class. Also I think both in India and China, the commercialization of Tv networks have probably diluted interest in such state or univ funder educational TV. Even the people who are interested in science/nature find better produced content on NAtional Geo or Discovery channel.
