Actually, there isn't much meat but lot of spines. You just clean the meat off the spines. But I guess a fatter snake (like maybe Python)might be more fleshy and rubbery.

I'm sure if I went to china and ordered a snake dish without knowing and it didn't look like snake at all, I'd eat it for sure. A lot of things we eat or don't eat is really cultural or psychologically related to our education. I'm actually afraid of snakes, almost a phobia caused by a tragic moment of my life but I still like them and find them really cool looking as animals but since I'm scared of them, if I saw it was in my plate and looks like piece of snake, I'm sure I wouldn't even touch my plate and take pictures of it hehehe. So here's my comment about that picture and the topic.

Snakes are tasty only for some kinds of snakes. Most of the people in Asian Countries are snake eaters. I think only most of the European Countries don't like to eat snakes, becuase they like to look at them just for fun or keep them for pets.
Anyway, snakes are delicious!!!

That is awful... I have two snakes at home and I felt physically sick when I saw this.
